Eleanor Smith's Obituary
Eleanor F. Smith of Hurlock, Maryland passed away on Saturday, April 10, 2021 at her home surrounded by her family. She was 83.
She was born on November 15, 1937 in Easton, Maryland the daughter of the late William M. Perry, Sr., and Elizabeth Agnes Moxey Perry.
Growing up in Preston, Maryland, Eleanor graduated from Preston High School with the class of 1956. On August 5,1960 she married Victor Smith and they made their home in Hurlock. Over the years Eleanor worked at Caroline Poultry and later the sewing factory in Hurlock. She was a homemaker for most of her life.
In her free time, Eleanor loved flowers and working in her yard. She also enjoyed cooking for her family and spending time with her children and grandchildren.
She is survived by her husband of 60 years Victor Smith of Hurlock, two daughters, Debra Hayden and her husband James Jr. of Hurlock, and Brenda Luebbecke and her husband Hans of Preston; two grandchildren: Michael A. Paul of Hurlock and Tiffany Luebbecke of Preston, one great-grandchild Ari A. Paul of Hurlock; and one sister Margaret Todd of Federalsburg.
In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by two brothers: William M. Perry Jr., and Melvin R. Perry Sr.
Graveside funeral services will be held on Friday, April 16, 2021 at 11:00 at Unity-Washington Cemetery in Hurlock with the Reverend Joel Beiler officiating.
