Elinore M Meredith's Obituary
Elinore M. Meredith of Federalsburg, Maryland passed away on Monday, February 28, 2022 at TidalHealth Peninsula Regional Medical Center in Salisbury, Maryland. She was 85.
She was born on March 31, 1936 in Galestown, Maryland, the daughter of the late Charles Walter Moore and Berzetta Tull Moore.
Growing up in Federalsburg she graduated from Federalsburg High School with the class of 1954. She met Bruce Meredith at the Milk Bar in Federalsburg and they were married on August 11, 1956. He preceded her in death on August 7, 2015 after 59 years of marriage.
She worked at the family business, Meredith's Appliances in Federalsburg as a book keeper for many years supporting her husband and family. In her free time, Elinore was an avid reader, enjoyed working puzzles and crosswords. She also loved to spend time with her family and grandchildren.
She is survived by three children: Michael Bruce Meredith and his wife Theresa of Preston, Martin "Marty" Meredith of Federalsburg, and Melanie Meredith Covey and her husband Jay of Preston; seven grandchildren: Heather Meredith and her companion Eric Lord, Branden Meredith and his wife Heather, Trey Covey and his wife Bayley, Danielle Dennis and her husband Billy, Meredith Griffith and her husband Quinn, Jamison Covey and Madison Covey, eleven great-grandchildren: Devin Lord, Chloe Lord, Taylor Meredith, Jacob Meredith, Gregory Meredith, Sophie Meredith, Camryn Covey, Jac Covey, Drake Dennis, Peyton Dennis, and Rory Griffith.
In addition to her parents, and her husband, she was preceded in death by seven siblings: Charles Moore, Ralph Moore, Roger Moore, Jeanette Fisher, Hazel Mister, Joyce Jacobs, and Sara Archer.
Funeral services will be on Saturday, March 5, 2022 at 11:00 at the Framptom Funeral Home in Federalsburg with the Reverend Marie Coulbourne officiating. Interment will follow at Hill Crest Cemetery. The family will receive friends from 10:00 to 11:00.
