Elizabeth Coughenour's Obituary
Elizabeth "Liz" Coughenour passed on into heaven on Tuesday, December 15, 2009 from her son and daughter-in-laws home in Little Egg Harbor, NJ.
Born in Dundee, Scotland on September 29, 1921, the daughter of the late David Thomson and Alice Thomson. She came to America with her parents and brother and lived in Bronx, New York. She later moved to Dumont, NJ in 1968. She retired from the New York Telephone Company after 30 years of service.
She is survived by her son David and his wife, Linda of Little Egg Harbor, NJ, three grandchildren, Blair Coughenour of Hightstown, NJ, Cynthia Beemiller and her husband Chad of Westbrook, CT and Robyn Pitt and her husband Bill of Egg Harbor Twsp, NJ, her brother Alex and his wife Jody of New York, two great-grandchildren, Alexis Coughenour of Maine, and Kyle Pitt of NJ, her friend and ex-husband, Edgar Coughenour of Preston, MD, brother-in-law Ronnie Heiliman of New York, sister-in-law, Louise Thomson of New Jersey and many nieces and nephews. In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her brothers, John, Edward and his wife Ann, David, and her sister Mary Heilimann.
Funeral services will be held on Saturday, December 19, 2009 at 11:00 a.m. at the Framptom Funeral Home, P.A in Federalsburg. The Reverend Dan Walker will officiate. Interment will follow in Hill Crest Cemetery in Federalsburg. Friends may call the funeral home from 6-8p.m. Friday evening and one hour prior to the service on Saturday.
