Elizabeth M. Lednum
St. Michaels, Elizabeth M. Lednum of St. Michaels, formerly of Tilghman, died at the Talbot Hospice House, Easton, on Sunday, November 4, 2012. She was 87. Born in Trappe on March 30, 1925 she was the daughter of the late, John and Minnie Collison Fairbanks. She attended Talbot County public schools. In 1940 married William E. Lednum a Tilghman Island Waterman, They made their home there to raise their family. Mrs. Lednum worked as a nursing assistant at the Memorial Hospital, Easton until retiring in 1978 after 30 years of service. Following her retirement she did private sitting and care for area families. Mr. Lednum died in 1987 Mrs. Lednum was a member of the former Tilghman Wesleyan Church, Tilghman. She is survived her children; Margaret Ann Isman, William E. Lednum, Jr. and Michael G. Lednum, all of Tilghman, she is also survived by numerous Grandchildren, Great-grandchildren, and Great-Great grandchildren in addition to many nieces and nephews, and her beloved pet, friend and companion “Sissy”. Services will be private. Donation in Mrs. Lednum’s memory may be made to the Talbot Hospice Foundation 586 Cynwood Drive Easton, MD. 21601. Arrangements are by the Hurley & Ostrowski Funeral Home P.A. of St. Michaels.
