I’ve been friends with Bette since 6th grade. I was introduced to Bette by Sharon (Barber) Fedoruk. The three of us considered one another as all best friends. I was fortunate to live with Bette and her parents, the last several months of our senior year. My parents had relocated to Grand Rapids. Even though Bette didn’t live close, we did keep in touch. I was the first one diagnosed with cancer (Ovarian) in 2013. Then Sharon was diagnosed with Pancreatic cancer in 2017. She passed in 2019. Then Bette, 5 years ago. I’m still fighting my cancer, 11 years later. My deepest condolences to Bette’s wonderful husband, Bill, and to her nieces and nephews and to Bill’s family and to all of her many friends that were close by. Bette -You will always be in my heart.
