Elizabeth Wigglesworth's Obituary
Elizabeth L. Wigglesworth of Hurlock, MD entered into eternal rest on Wednesday, June 28, 2006 at The Pines Genesis in Easton, MD. She was 90.
She was born Feb. 22, 1916 in East New Market, MD, the daughter of the late Harry Harrison, Sr. and Lillian Coulbourne Harrison. Her husband of 59 years, Durwood R. Wigglesworth preceded her in death.
She was a graduate of East New Market High School and had worked for many years as a telephone operator with C&P Telephone Company, a receptionist at Andrews Air Force Base, and retired from Briggs Ice Cream Company in 1979. She and Durwood raised their children in Oxon Hill, MD and attended Fort Foote Baptist Church and was a member of Grace Baptist Church.
She is survived by a son and daughter-in-law, Phil and Billie Wigglesworth of Hurlock, eight grandchildren: Danny Scott, Jan Bowersox, Diane Schultz, Debbie Miller, Michael Wigglesworth, Randy Naylor, Matthew Wigglesworth, and Danny Naylor, nine great-grandchildren, and six great-great-grandchildren. A daughter Frances E. Wigglesworth preceded her in death.
Funeral services will be held on Saturday, July 1, 2006 at 12:00 noon at the Grace Baptist Church in Hurlock with Pastor David Talley officiating. Interment will follow in Unity-Washington Cemetery in Hurlock. Friends may call at the church on Friday from 6:00 to 8:00 p.m.
