Elsie Jean Dew's Obituary
Elsie Jean Dew of Federalsburg passed away on Saturday, September 9, 2017 at Envoy of Denton. She was 88.
She was born in Hurlock, MD, on April 6, 1929, the daughter of the late James and Ruby Collison. Jean was preceded in death by her husband of fifty-three years, Stewart James Dew in 2001.
She was educated in Dorchester County Schools and continued her education in Baltimore at Nursing School. She was a charter member of Nanticoke Eastern Star Chapter #64 and then merged in 1988 with Caroline Eastern Star Chapter #62 and was initiated October 19, 1950 and held membership through life.
She is survived by her son, Harold Dew of Federalsburg, five grandchildren, Neal Bullock, Dawn Bullock, Amy Bullock, Jason Dew, Logan King, two great-granddaughters, Mia Finley and Ava King and several nieces and nephews. She was preceded in death by a daughter, JoAnn Bullock, five siblings, Kathleen Shannahan, Paul Collison, James Collison, Betsy Franz, and Ann Nichols.
Funeral services will be held on Friday, September 15, 2017 at Framptom Funeral Home with Rev. Marie Coulbourne officiating with an Eastern Star Service starting at 11 a.m. and the funeral service will follow immediately afterward. Friends may call at the funeral home from 9:30 a.m. until 11 a.m. Interment will follow at Hill Crest Cemetery, Federalsburg, MD.
