Emerson Scott Williamson's Obituary
Emerson "Jigs" Scott Williamson, 72, of Federalsburg, MD passed away at his home on Saturday, January 20, 2024 under the care of Compass Regional Hospice.
He was born November 19, 1951 to the late Emerson Carlton Williamson and Esther Irene Lankford Williamson.
He attended Colonel Richardson High School and in 1970 he entered the U.S. Army. He served two tours in Vietnam from 1970-1971 in the 196th LIB Americal Division. After serving his country, he later worked as a truck driver and logger with the Williamson family owned businesses.
Jigs will always be remembered for his love of family, generous nature and ability to make you laugh. He made his home in Reliance, MD for the past 34 years.
He is survived by his sister Elaine Robinson (Bill) and his brother Russell Williamson of Federalsburg, four nieces Lori Griffith, Dana Williamson, Jenna Dixon all of Federalsburg and Darlene Allen of Baltimore, a nephew Russell E. Williamson of Federalsburg and a faithful companion Christine Tyree of Federalsburg, several cousins and many friends.
In addition to his parents, he is preceded in death by his two wives Linda Wright Williamson formerly of Greensboro, MD and Joan Perry formerly of Hurlock, MD.
Funeral services will be held on Friday, January 26, 2024 at 12:00 at the Framptom Funeral Home in Federalsburg. Interment with military honors will follow at Bloomery Cemetery near Smithville. The family will receive friends from 11:00 to 12:00
