Emerson J.W. Young, Jr.'s Obituary
Emerson John Wesley Young, Jr. passed away on Saturday, September 14, 2024, at Regency Care in Silver Spring, MD. He was 74.
Emerson was born on February 9, 1950, in Rhodesdale, MD to the late Emerson John Wesley Young, Sr., and Frances Duruth Cornish Young.
Emerson was a veteran of the Vietnam War, serving in the U.S. Air Force from 1968 to 1972. Emerson loved to watch movies, especially Westerns, a love he passed on to his daughter. He also enjoyed watching sports, especially football and basketball. Emerson's favorite team was the Baltimore Ravens. Emerson enjoyed spending time with his immediate and extended family. He is remembered for his love of movies and his family. Emerson worked as a Truck driver, as both a long haul and mail delivery.
Emerson is preceded in death by his wife, Pamela Rene Miller-Young, and his parents, grandparents, and beloved aunts Marion Spry, Melvina Young, and Dorothy Walker.
Emerson is survived by his daughter Whitney Tremaine Young, a grandson Tremaine K. Charbonnet, his aunts Delores Cornish, and Margaret Elbert, his Uncle John Cornish Jr, and a host of cousins and friends.
