Emily Slacum Johnson's Obituary
Emily Jane (Slacum) Johnson passed away peacefully on Monday, August 24, 2020 at her home in Bridgeville, DE. She was 95.
She was born on June 19, 1925, and was the daughter of the late Gorman G. Slacum and Grace H. (Moore) Slacum.
She attended Federalsburg High School and graduated with the class of 1942. She was a member of Bethel United Methodist Church. She enjoyed being outside and loved to garden her flowers.
She is survived by her children, Barry Johnson (Linda), Mark Johnson, and Leah Passwaters, grandchildren, Tim Johnson (Casey), Emily Rider (Justin), Kelsey Johnson (Hunter Walls), Amber Schneider (Cody) and great-granddaughter, Adelyn Rider.
She was preceded in death by her husband, Cecil Albert Johnson, parents, Gorman and Grace Slacum, and her siblings Rose Slacum Wheatley, Leon Slacum, and Eugene Slacum.
A graveside service will be held on Sunday, August 30, 2020, at 2pm at Bethel Cemetery, adjacent to Bethel United Methodist Church. Masks are required.
