Emma Jane Hurley's Obituary
Emma Jane Hurley of Preston passed away on Friday, February 8, 2019 at Bayleigh Chase in Easton. She was 83.
She was born on January 17, 1936 in Choptank, the daughter of the late Fred Blades and Rowena Majors Blades.
She was a homemaker devoted to her family. She loved to travel and was a true restauranteur in which she enjoyed eating at a variety of places with her family and friends. Jane will always be known as always being polite and courteous to others.
Jane is survived by her husband of almost 39 years, James A. Hurley, three children, Merrill "J.R." Lahman of Preston, Suzann Lahman (Tom) of Preston, Gary Lahman (Theresa) of Seaford, three step-children, James Bruce Hurley (Cheryl) of Hurlock, Jay Duane Hurley (Shelley) of Brookview, Jon Earle Hurley of Florida, 9 grandchildren, 5 great-grandchildren, and a brother, Roger Blades (Jeanette) of Parsonsburg. She was preceded in death by three siblings, Ruth Jackson, Erma Donaldson, Clark Blades and two step-children, Beverly Jenise Hurley and Jeffrey Carl Hurley.
A Celebration of Life for Jane will be held on Sunday, February 17, 2019 at Preston Fire House, 3680 Choptank Road, Preston, MD at 2 p.m. Memorial contributions can be made to Preston Volunteer Fire Company, P.O.
