Ernest E. Fisher's Obituary
Ernest E. Fisher Easton, Ernest E. “Ernie†Fisher of Easton, died at the University of Maryland Shore Medical Center, Easton, on Sunday December 28, 2014. He was 83. Born in Talbot County on February 21, 1931 he was the son of the late Ernest E. and Margaret Pardoe Fisher. He attended Talbot Co. public schools in Cordova. After graduating in 1950, he worked with his father farming in the Cordova area. On August 8, 1952 he married Anita Schuyler they made their home in Easton. Ernie then farmed in the Easton area until he began working at Easton Utilities, and at the same time worked part-time for the U.S. Postal Service. Later taking a full-time job as a rural route mail carrier, where he worked for more than 30 years until his retirement. He was a charter member of St. Marks United Methodist Church, Easton, MD. Trappe Lions Club, Life member of Easton Vol. Fire Dept. Easton Odd-Fellows, and the Easton Minute Men. He enjoyed his monthly breakfasts’ with the R.O.M.E.O.S. and the Easton Fire Dept. retirees. Ernie loved the outdoors, fishing with friends, Allen and Leona Crowder, trips with his wife Anita to Buffalo Junction, VA., and his Saturday mornings at Denny’s with his daughter. In addition to his wife Anita , he is survived by a son; Robert Glen “Chumley†Fisher of Preston, a daughter; Brenda Fisher Ramage of Easton, two sisters; Betty Erskine of Easton, and Dorothy Tyler of Tilghman, three grandchildren; Michele Patrick, Thomas Ramage, and Dylan Ramage. A Great-grandson and “little buddy†Schuyler Patrick. In addition to his parents he was preceded in death by a son: Ernie Fisher, III; three sisters; Louise Tall, Jane Willis and Jeanie Pepper and one brother William Fisher. Funeral services will be held at St. Marks United Methodist Church, Easton, MD. on Monday January 5, 2014 at 1:00PM, where a viewing will be held from 11:00AM until 1:00PM. Burial will be at Woodlawn Memorial Park, Easton, MD. Donations may be made to the Easton Vol. Fire Dept. 315 Aurora Park Drive Easton, MD. 21601 or to H.O.P.E., P.O.
