Etta Mae Andrew's Obituary
Etta Mae Andrew of Federalsburg, MD passed away on Thursday, November 6, 2008 at her residence. She was 83 years old.
Born in Cambridge, MD on May 29, 1925 she was the daughter of the late
Melville F. and Marie A. Gallagher Hubbard. Her husband, G. Thomas Andrew preceded her in death on Dec. 7, 2006.
She was a graduate of Federalsburg High School Class of 1942. Since her senior year of high school she taught piano and organ lessons. She served as organist for over 53 years at the Framptom Funeral Home. She was a member of Union United Methodist Church where she was a member of the United Methodist Women and the Rebecca Circle. She was gifted in sewing and in handwork and many were the recipients of her beautiful talents.
She is survived by niece and caregiver, Joni Blizzard of Federalsburg and many nieces and nephews, brother-in-law and sister-in-law who were special caregivers, William and Lois Andrew of Federalsburg, and special friend Mary Framptom-Price. A brother, Melville F. “Hoppy” Hubbard preceded her in death.
Funeral services will be held on Monday, Nov. 10, 2008 at 2:00 p.m. at the Framptom Funeral Home in Federalsburg with Rev. Denzil Cheek officiating. Interment will follow in Hillcrest Cemetery in Federalsburg. Friends may call at the funeral home from 1:00 to 2:00 p.m.
