Eunice Lavoda Bowens' Obituary
Eunice Lavoda Bowens of Preston, MD, passed away on Sunday, November 18, 2018. She was 99.
She was born on June 5, 1919 in Vienna, MD, the daughter of the late Don Bowens and Patience Lilly Molock.
She received her education in Dorchester county . She was a supervisor at Maryland Plastics for many years and was a lifetime member of Wallace Temple
A.M.E. Zion.
She is survived by her daughter, Madaline {John)George, grandchildren, Everick (Helen) Bowens, Sandra (Lewis) Barnett, and Cheryl George, great-grandchildren, Takenya Townsend, Jamal Bowens Sr., and Asia George, great-great grandchildren, Anthony Mosley, and Jamal Bowens Jr., and special niece and nephews that she raised as her own, Howard Bowens, Brenda Stanley, Drew Bradford, and Mazie Pearson.
She was preceded in death by her siblings, Roland, lester, Edison, Harold, Brice, Virginia, Ida, Betty, and Rosalee Bowens.
A funeral service wiH be held on Saturday, November 24, 2018 at 1pm with a visitation one hour prior to the start of the service at Union United Methodist Church in Federalsburg, MD . Interment will be held following the service at Chester Cemetery in Rhodesdale, MD.
