Evelyn June Elzey's Obituary
Evelyn "June" Elzey formerly of Federalsburg passed away on Sunday, June 9, 2024 at Bayleigh Chase in Easton. She was 91.
She was born on August 23, 1932 in Frederick, Virginia, the daughter of the late Thomas NIckel Jackson and Minnie Mae Ritenour Jackson.
After her education, she married Paul Elzey and they made their home in Federalsburg. He preceded her in death June 25, 2018.
She loved crafting, and collecting antiques. For several years, she was the owner/operator of "My Mothers Egg Basket" selling her collectibles and crafts. She also enjoyed working in her yard and flower garden, travel, and spending time with her family and grandchildren.
She was a former member of Union United Methodist Church where she served on various circles and committees. She also served as a lifetime member of the Federalsburg V.F.W. Post #5246.
She is survived by a daughter, Pamela Elzey and one sister, Betty Parks, both of Federalsburg; a grandson: Nicholas Parks and his wife Marcia of Delmar, DE, and a great grandaughter Gianna Parks.
In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by two sons: Michael Jess Elzey in 1983, Paul Eric Elzey in 1968, and five siblings: Thomas Jackson, Jr., Frank Jackson, Marshall Jackson, Nettie Windsor & Lucille Richardson.
A memorial service will be held on Friday, June 14, 2024 at 11:00 a.m. at the Framptom Funeral Home in Federalsburg with the Reverend Denzil T. Cheek officiating. The family will receive friends from 10:00 to 11:00. Burial will be private.
