Evelyn Lucille Gadow's Obituary
Evelyn Lucille Gadow of Preston passed away peacefully on Sunday, October 4, 2015 at Envoy of Denton. She was 87.
She was born on March 6, 1928 in Federalsburg, Maryland, the daughter of the late Sewell Harding and Ada Bailey Harding.
She was educated at the Friendship School House in Caroline County. After her education, she married Richard Paul Gadow. They were married for 58 years before he preceded her in death on July 9, 2006.
In addition to making her home, she was a caregiver at the hospital and also in private homes. She was a member of Immanuel Lutheran Church in Preston for many years. She enjoyed her flowers and working in the yard, birdwatching, baking and cooking. She loved spending time with her family and grandchildren.
She is survived by two daughters, Linda Fairbanks of Preston, and Debra Sheets of Punta Gorda, FL; one son, Mark Gadow and his wife Christine of Hurlock; four grandchildren, William Jason Lord, Kurt Fairbanks, Adriean Hayward and Luke Gadow; two great grandchildren, Madison Rudder and Kaitlin Fairbanks; a sister, Doris Adams and her husband Gilford of El Paso, TX; and a brother, Percy Harding of Federalsburg. She was preceded in death by a son, Larry Gadow and two siblings, Elva Noble and Sewell Harding, Jr.
Funeral Services will be held on Saturday, October 10, 2015 at 11:00 a.m. at Immanuel Lutheran Church in Preston with the Reverend Thomas Becker officiating. Interment will follow at the Junior Order Cemetery. The family will receive friends from 10:00 to 11:00 at the church.
