Evelyn Marie Kelley Torbert's Obituary
Evelyn Marie Kelley Torbert of Milford, DE passed away peacefully on Sunday, April 25, 2010 at Delaware Home for Hospice. She was 84.
She was born on November 14, 1925 in Harmony, Caroline County, Maryland the daughter of the late Edward N. Kelley and Blanche M. Hurlock Kelley.
Evelyn loved the Lord and was a member of the Pilgram Wesleyan Church in Milford. Evelyn will be remembered for her bright smile and her gentle and fun-loving nature. She was a determined woman who fought a courageous struggle with pain and illness for many years. She enjoyed spending time with her family and trips to Harrington Slots with her beloved brother.
She is survived by three sons, Gary Stevens, Michael Stevens and his wife, Patricia, Dennis Fleetwood, and his wife Jerri, and two daughters, Karen Coverdale and her husband Greg, and Kellie Plummer and her husband Sammy, all of Milford, 15 grandchildren, 16 great grandchildren, 1 great-great grandchild, and three brothers, Donald Collins of Templeville, MD, Gilbert Collins of Milford, DE, Harold Collins of Federalsburg and her former husband, Phillip Torbert of Milford, DE. In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by three brothers, Edward Kelley, Norman Kelley and Billy Collins, two sisters, Virginia Coughenour and Irene Hasson and a granddaughter, Wendy Stevens.
Funeral services will be held on Thursday, April 29, 2010 at 1:00p.m. at the Framptom Funeral Home, P.A. in Federalsburg with Pastor Irvin Schreckengast officiating. Interment will follow in Hill Crest Cemetery in Federalsburg. The family will receive friends from 11:00 to 1:00 at the Funeral Home.
