Faith Goehringer's Obituary
Faith M. Goehringer of Hurlock, MD passed peacefully on the morning of Nov. 10, 2008, 5 days before her 75th birthday.
Faith one of eleven children born to George and Marie Henning Saunders, born Nov. 16, 1933 in Easton, MD. She was raised in Bruceville, MD, near Trappe, and graduated from Easton High School Class of 1951, which was the first class requiring 12 years.
Faith met William Ernest Goehringer in 1950 while they were both working at Trappe Frozen Food. They were married May 29, 1953 at Immanuel Lutheran Church in Preston. She lived a farming life on the Eastern Shore and was a member of Immanuel Lutheran Church where she worked with Vacation Bible School. Faith and Bill were the parents of four children, Ernie, Keith, Cindy, and Darlene.
She is survived by her husband of fifty-five years, William E. Goehringer, Sr., two daughters, Cynthia M. Reynolds of Severna Park, MD, Darlene M. Goehringer of Hurlock, a son, W. Ernest “Ernie” Goehringer, Jr. of Hurlock, four grandchildren, Webb, Rachel, Eliza, and Ben, a great-grandson, Austin. She was preceded in death by a son, James Keith Goehringer.
Peace and comfort has finally come and she will be missed.
Funeral services for her will be held on Thursday, November 13, 2008 at 11 a.m. at Immanuel Lutheran Church in Preston with Rev. Edwin Thress officiating. Friends may call at the church from 10-11 a.m. on Thursday. Interment will follow at Junior Order Cemetery.
