Florence A. George
Easton, Florence Amanda George, of Easton, formerly of St. Michaels, went home to be with our Lord and those who’ve journeyed before her. She was 89.
She was loved by many, and her kind warm heart truly made her a legend in her native St. Michaels. She was one of seven children, raised by William Raymond and Florence Amanda Tarbutton Marshall. She leaves behind countless cherished friends, two children and their spouses, a grandson, granddaughter and her spouse with whom she had made her home, and one very special great-grandson she affectionately dubbed “My Matthew”. She was preceded in death by one brother, three sisters, a daughter, Shirley Ann George and her husband, Lt. Col. Harry L. George, Sr.
A graveside service will be held at 10:00AM on Monday, February 13, 2012 in the Olivet Cemetery, St. Michaels, Md.
The family request donations be made to the warm and caring Hospice of Queen Anne’s County, 255 Comet Drive Centreville, Md. 21617
