Florence B. Gehring's Obituary
Florence Belinda Gehring, formerly of Harmony, died at Caroline Nursing and Rehabilitation in Denton, MD on Sunday, July 3, 2011 at the age of 91.
She was born on April 10, 1920 in Wilmington, DE the daughter of the late Charles Flowers and Linda Hignutt Darling Flowers. Her husband, Otto Carl Gehring preceded her in death on December 4, 1995. She was a graduate of Caroline High School Class of 1937. She worked as a cafeteria worker at North Caroline High School. She was a member of the Women’s Club of Denton, Harmony United Methodist Church, where she taught Sunday School for many years, and Easton Moose Lodge 1520 in Easton, MD. She is survived by four children, Rev. Steven Gehring and his wife Suzanne of Wilmore, Ky, Ronald Gehring and his wife June of Harmony, MD, Susan Lang and her husband Steve of Pennsville, NJ, Jack Gehring of Harmony, 11 grandchildren, 11 great-grandchildren and several nieces and nephews. Funeral services for her will be held on Thursday, July 7, 2011 at 1:00 p.m. at Framptom Funeral Home, P. A. in Federalsburg, MD with Rev. Steven Gehring officiating. Interment will follow in Hillcrest Cemetery in Federalsburg. Friends may call at the funeral home on Thursday from 11:00 to 1:00. The family has requested that donations be made in her memory to Harmony United Methodist Church P. O. Box 145 Preston, MD 21655.
