Fontella Elizabeth Robinson's Obituary
Fontella Elizabeth Jones Darden-Robinson, was born July 21,1966 in Easton, Maryland. She departed this life on Saturday, November 19, 2022 at Talbot Hospice Home in Easton, Maryland at the age of 56. She is the daughter of Jerl Jones of Wilmington, Delaware, and William Jones of Bridgeville, Delaware. Fontella graduated from Colonel Richardson High School, class of 1984. She attended Chesapeake College, where she received a certificate for Early Childhood Development. She worked various jobs but enjoyed working with the babies.
Fontella loved the Lord, and served the Lord with joy. She was baptized in Jesus Name at Mission Hill Apostolic Church, Hurlock, Maryland, by Apostle JW Mosley, Sr. She received the precious gift of the Holy Ghost with evidence of speaking in tongues. She would often testify about the fire burning on the inside. She loved the word, and studied at the feet of great men and women of God. Through life's ups and downs Fontella Never Complained! Instead like any good soldier she armored up and was about her father's work. She visited Nursing homes, fed the needy and the greedy. She was a faithful Usher, if you had gum, she was bound to catch you. With one hand behind her back and a finger in the air you knew you were caught and you immediately handed the gum over. She was a well studied Sunday School Teacher, and Member of Pastor's Aide. She traveled near and far with her dear friend Harvey, singing with the choir. Fontella kept praise in her feet and worship on her lips, but a fervent prayer life was her passion. The bible says, where any two or three are gathered in my name I would be in the midst. Well Fontella and her prayer warrior best friend, Helen spent most days in prayer for her family, and the body of Christ. In 2019, Fontella became Superintendent of Sunday School Department at Soul Restoration Church, Denton, Maryland, and later that same year she was ordained to be a Minister by Bishop Wayne Foster, Sr. Fontella was also a Pittsburg Steelers fan.
She was preceded in death by her first husband , Arthur Darden, Sr, and their unborn child, her grandparents Willie Stanley, Carrie Jones, Otis Sharp, Virginia Sharp, her nephew Kai'Mel Ennels, her Sister in law Frances Robinson, Brother in law Charles Scott, Her Spiritual Mother's Evangelist Josephine Holland, and Mother Geraldine Mosley, her close friend/cousin Normalee Payton, and two step grandchildren.
Fontella, better known by her family as Fonnie, leaves to mourn her husband Charles Robinson, Federalsburg, MD, her stepchildren Ca'Tia Darden, Salisbury, MD and Arthur Darden Jr, Dover, DE. Three loving sisters Bronta Scott, Cambridge, MD, Maurita Jones, Salisbury, NC, Mia Jones, Wilmington, DE, a faithful brother Antonio Jones, Cambridge, MD. Four nieces MarQuita Demby, Kierra & Tierra, Edaysia Hopkins, two nephews Kevin Demby, Jamar Butler, two God children Issac Fletcher (Heather), Kendra Simms, and a host of aunts, uncles, cousins, friends, her loving church family, and Roy Dawson.
