Frances M. Harvey's Obituary
Frances Harvey, 87, of Greenwood, DE passed away on Wednesday, October 4th, 2023 at her home surrounded by her loving family. She was born on July 24th, 1936 in Richwood, West Virginia the daughter of the late Waitman and Laura Hall.
Frances graduated from Richwood High School and attended Fairmont Business College. She spent many years employed at Alcan Aluminum in Fairmont as well as Natco in Greenwood, Delaware.
Frances was a member of the Harrington Moose Club and active at the Greenwood Cheer Center where she enjoyed dancing, spending time with friends, and participating in Cheer Center activities.
In the her free time, Frances loved working in her flower bed, spending time with her beloved family and grandchildren, painting, and traveling to West Virginia where she spent many months visiting family and friends.
She is survived by her children, Brenda (Tom) Moran of Fairmont, WV and Cleland (Sheila) Harvey of Greenwood, DE; 8 grandchildren, David (Jennifer) Harvey of Monongah, WV, Ellie (Mike) Jenkins of Fairmont, WV, Sasha (Chad) Bennett of Buckhannon, WV, Taylor (Brent) Dodrill of Fairmont, Ali Moran of Fairmont, Tricia Moran of Charlottesville, VA, William (Stephanie) Harvey of Salem, OR , and Amanda Stanton; and 10 great grandchildren. Also surviving are her brothers and sisters Iris Nancy Murphy, Evelina Marlowe, Alvin Hall, Ellouise Martin, Edward (Donna) Hall, daughter in law Becky Harvey Bennett, former daughter in law Angie Farnum, as well as several nieces and nephews.
In addition to her parents she was preceded in death by her husband of 43 years, Mont Harvey; a beloved son William Harvey, her second husband Allen Arthur, brothers Bradley Hall, Elbert Hall, Edgell Hall, sister Garnett Hall and infant brother Troy Hall.
A celebration of Frances' life will be held in Greenwood, Delaware at a later date.
