Frances Lankford passed away on Friday, June 16, 2017 at Coastal Hospice at the lake in Salisbury, Maryland. She was 96.
She was born on October 27, 1920 in Federalsburg, Maryland, the daughter of the late Charles Meredith and Lilly Scott Meredith.
She was married to Sherolds Lankford, who preceded her in death.
She took great pride in being a homemaker. She loved her home, cooking, and taking care of her family. She later worked at Cantner’s Drug Store in Federalsburg. She was a member of Gethsemane United Methodist Church and former member of Wesley United Methodist Church.
She is survived by a daughter, Beverly Maxwell of Berlin, son in law, Eugene Peed of Seaford, DE; daughter in law, Sue Lankford of Salisbury; five grandchildren, and four great-grandchildren.. In addition to her parents and her husband, she was preceded in death by a daughter, Sharon Peed and a son, Frank Lankford.
Funeral services will be held on Friday, June 23, 2017 at 11:00 at the Framptom Funeral Home in Federalsburg with the Reverend David Michaud officiating. The family will receive friends from 10-11 at the funeral home. Interment will follow at Cokesbury Cemetery near Reliance.
