Frances O. Reed McDermott's Obituary
Frances O. Reed McDermott of Federalsburg passed away on Friday, August 28, 2015 at the University of Maryland Medical System in Baltimore, Maryland. She was 47.
She was born on July 11, 1968 in Tacoma, Washington the daughter of the late Louis J. Reed and Bonnie Hanes Reed.
She graduated from Colonel Richardson High School in 1986. She worked at Sisk Fulfillment in Federalsburg for many years.
She enjoyed spending time with her family and grandchildren.
She is survived by three children: Rebecca Steele (Edward) of Marydel, MD; Franklin Mendes, Jr. (Katelyn) of Federalsburg; and Kayla Reed (Daniel Henry) of Federalsburg; three grandchildren, four siblings: Louis E. Reed of Salisbury, MD, Kenny R Reed (Cindy) of Lynchburg, VA, Debbie Rumbley (Howard) of Hurlock, and Jack L. Reed (Denise) of Federalsburg; and many loving nieces, nephews, cousins and friends.
In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by a son, Michael Lee Mendes.
Funeral services will be held on Saturday, September 5, 2015 at 1:00 at the Framptom Funeral Home in Federalsburg. Interment will follow in Bloomery Cemetery in Smithville. The family will receive friends from 11:00 to 1:00 on Saturday.
