Frances Duruth Young's Obituary
Frances D. Young passed away on Thursday, November 5, 2020 at Mallard Bay Nursing Home in Cambridge, MD. She was 88.
She was born on October 17, 1932 in Rhodesdale, MD the daughter of the late John W. Cornish, Sr. and Daisy M. (Pinkett) Cornish.
She loved watching football and cheering on her Washington Redskins. She also enjoyed spending time with her son, granddaughter, and extended family. Frances is also remembered for her wonderful culinary skills. Frances worked at the former Harper & Bateman Pickling Factory, Solo Cup Company, Coldwater Seafood Company, and retired from American Chemical Society.
Frances was preceded in death by her parents, and her husband Emerson J.W. Young Sr.
She is survived by: her son, Emerson J.W. Young, Jr, granddaughter, Whitney Young, and siblings, Dorothy Pinkett, Margaret Elbert, Delores Cornish, and John Cornish Jr., and nieces and nephews.
The viewing will be held on Saturday, November 14, 2020, at 10:00 a.m. at Framptom Funeral Home located at 216 N. Main St, Federalsburg, MD. With the service to follow the viewing at 1:00 p.m. with Reverend William S. Johnson officiating and Pastor Alisa Torney giving the eulogy. Friends may call on the family from 10:30 a.m.- 12:45 p.m. prior to the start of the service. Interment will be held at Wallace Temple Cemetery immediately following the service.
