Frances K. Harris' Obituary
Frances K. Harris of Hurlock, MD, passed away at Caroline Nursing Home in Denton, MD on Tuesday, January 30, 2007. She was 77.
She was born on December 3, 1929 in Pittsburgh, PA, daughter of the late William Kute and Catherine Teichman Kute. She was preceded in death by her husband of forty-six years, Thurman T. “Dick” Harris, Sr., on September 20, 1996.
She had previously worked for Albert W. Sisk and Sons in Preston. She was a member of Hurlock Women’s Group and served as a volunteer for Memorial Hospital at Easton where she volunteered over 5,000 hours serving in the Women’s Auxiliary at the Commission Shop. She was a member of Our Lady of Good Counsel Catholic Church in Secretary, MD.
She is survived by five children, Dolores Weyant, of Herndon, VA, Diane
O’ Dea and her husband, Michael, of Mankato, MN, Ted Harris and his wife, Terry, of Hurlock, MD, Deborah Zagami and her husband, Harry, of Davidsonville, MD, Tim Harris and his wife, Cindy, of Federalsburg, MD, 14 grandchildren, 7 great-grandchildren, two sisters, Doris Neuman, of Verona, PA, and Kathryn Schutz, of Pittsburgh, PA, and a brother, William Kute, of Duncannon, PA. She was preceded in death by a sister, Teresa Kute.
A Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated at 11 a.m. on Friday, February 2, 2007 at Our Lady of Good Counsel Catholic Church in Secretary, MD. Interment will follow at Eastern Shore Veterans Cemetery in Beulah. Friends may call at Framptom Funeral Home on Thursday, February 1, 2007 from 3-5 p.m. and 7-9 p.m. Serving as pallbearers will be her grandsons.
