Francis Michael Rehill's Obituary
Frank Rehill Tilghman, Francis M. “Frank “ Rehill of Tilghman, died at the Talbot Hospice House, Easton on Wednesday, October 22, 2014. He was 83. Born on April 4, 1931 in Brooklyn N.Y. he, grew up in an orphanage on Staten Island, where he graduated from Tottenville High School, on Staten. He then enlisted in the Army, he served during the Korean Conflict, having been wounded in battle two times. Following his release from active duty he moved to Maryland, he married, Betty Foster in 1954, they made their home in Baltimore Co. Mr. Rehill or Frank as he was known worked for the C&P telephone Co. as a cable splicer his career spanned through all of the companies name changes, (C&P, Bell Atlantic) retiring from Verizon in 1995. They moved to Tilghman in 1996 where he began working for his longtime friend Willie Roe as a commercial waterman. During this time he also worked as a boat electrician, and for the past nine years has operated his own business, Frank’s Boat wiring, until just recently when his health began to fail. In addition to his beloved wife Betty to whom he was married to for 60 years, he is survived by two sons; David Rehill and his wife Willie of Baltimore, Co., Brian Rehill and his wife Annie of Arnold, MD. He was preceded in death by a sister; Lillian Caruso.
A Celebration of Life was held on Saturday October 25, 2014 at Harrison’s Chesapeake House, Tilghman, MD. 21671. Arrangements are by Ostrowski Funeral Home, St. Michaels, MD. 21663
