Francis William Underwood's Obituary
Francis William Underwood ("Billy") passed away peacefully at his home in Tilghman, MD on Saturday, February 27, 2021 after a long battle with dementia.
He is survived by his wife DJ of 34 years; sister n law Debbie and husband Jason, brother n law Billy. He's also survived by seven sisters, four brothers, six daughters, six grandchildren, Aunts, Uncles, nieces, nephews, and cousins. He is preceded in death by his parents Francis William Underwood, Sr. and Merva Lillian; brothers Hank and Joe. His in laws Dorothy J. and Charles H. Finn, brother n laws Donnie and Bobby, and all of his beloved pets we had together for 36 years that are too numerous to mention.
Billy was an owner operator until 2015. At one point we had 5 trucks, 7 trailers, and he hauled throughout the East Coast hauling produce, ink, hay, straw, quick crete, and ended his career hauling landscaping materials for Denison Landscaping. Billy was the volunteer Chief of Allentown Fire Department and enjoyed cooking and working bingo.
Services will be held on Saturday, March 6, 2021 at 2:00 pm at St. John's Chapel located at 5160 Black Walnut Point Road, Tilghman, MD 21671. Repass will be at Characters Bridge's Restaurant. In lieu of flowers, we are requesting donations to Talbot Hospice located at 586 Cynwood Drive, Easton, MD 21601.
