Frank Melvin Tull's Obituary
Frank “Melvin” Tull of Federalsburg passed away on Monday, January 16, 2017 at Johns Hopkins Hospital in Baltimore, Maryland. He was 76.
He was born on June 20, 1940 in Federalsburg, Maryland the son of the late Charles Wesley and Thelma Irene Meredith.
He graduated from Federalsburg High School with the class of 1958. He later enlisted in the United States Air Force and served during the Vietnam war. After his service, he was married to Deanna Davis Tull on December 1, 1966. Together they made their home in Federalsburg and just celebrated 50 years of marriage.
Over the years, Melvin worked in trucking logistics for Elliott Brothers, Consolidated Trucking, Solo Cup, and Cantner's Drug Store.
He was a lifetime member of the Federalsburg Vol. Fire Company where he served as a former secretary. He was also a member of the Federalsburg Lions Club. He enjoyed woodworking, and spending time with his family and grandchildren.
He is survived by his wife Deanna Tull of Federalsburg, two sons, Frank Fink and his wife Ellen of Hurlock, and Kenny Tull and his wife, Wendi of Federalsburg, seven grandchildren, Amber Thorburn-Humphrey and her husband Scott of Salisbury, Keith Fink and his wife Brittani of Denton, Mackenzie Tull and Reagan Tull both of Federalsburg, Ginna Keil and her husband Josh of Delmar, Jessica Hales and her husband Kevin of Powellville, and Will Moore of Salisbury, eight great-grandchildren, and one sister, Ruth Elaine Thomas of Federalsburg.
He was preceded in death by one daughter, Diana Moore and three brothers, Wesley Tull, Wayne Tull and Eddie Tull.
A memorial service will be held on Tuesday, January 24, 2017 at 11:00 at Union United Methodist Church in Federalsburg with the Reverend Dan Gedman officiating. The family will receive friends from 10:00 to 11:00 at the church.
