Franklin Bolden's Obituary
Franklin D. Bolden, formerly of Finchville, MD passed away on Tuesday, Nov. 21, 2006 at his residence in Seaford, De. He was 73 years old.
He was born April 3, 1933 in Federalsburg, MD, the son of the late Vernon Benjamin Bolden, Sr. and Bertha Tilghman Bolden. His wife, Deann Bennett Bolden, preceded him in death.
He worked for Townsend Company for many years, retiring in 1995. He had worked for the former Acme Canning Company in Hurlock, and the former Clam Factory in Bridgeville, DE. He was a baseball player and helped organize a community team.
He is survived by 8 children, Pendora J. Cannon of Dorchester, Mass., Marie V. Cannon of Jamaica Plain, Mass., Annette Bolden of Baltimore, MD, Demetris Bennett of Salisbury, Frankie Brown of Ridgely, MD, Decarlos B. Bey of Cumberland, MD, Tyree Cannon and Marcus Cannon, both of Boston, Mass., many grandchildren and great-grandchildren; two sisters, Marian Batson of Federalsburg and Catherine Lewis of Finchville, MD, and many nieces and nephews. He was preceded in death by 6 siblings, Reba Bolden, Ida Bolden, Ollie Bolden, Vernon Bolden, Jr., Tyree Bolden and George Bolden.
Funeral services will be held on Saturday, Nov. 25, 2006 at 1:00 p.m. at the Framptom Funeral Home in Federalsburg with Rev. Peggy Briggs officiating. Interment will follow in Cokesbury Cemetery near Federalsburg. Friends may call at the funeral home on Saturday from 11:00 to 1:00 p.m.
