Franklin Dwayne Stewart, Jr.'s Obituary
Franklin "Frank or Frankie" Stewart, 60, passed away suddenly on November 27th, 2022. He was born in Cambridge on October 12th, 1962, to Frank Stewart and Dortha Childs.
Frank enjoyed everything outdoors, especially fishing and being on the water, riding his motorcycle, woodworking and spending time with his family. He worked throughout the years at E. S Hubbert and Son, Yeager's, SKS, Hadaway's Service Station, Hogans, Bi-Rite Auto Sales and most recently Genes in Selbyville, DE. He was a well-known music man that loved all music, commonly known for roles as a bass player and vocalist. He was in many different bands throughout his life including, Steel Blue (where he was 9 years old when he played with his father at Mutts) played Crossroad Connections, Kick Back, 4 Way Street, Ghost Rider, CC Rider, Double Vision, Deja Blue, Back in Time Band, and most recent, Sweetwater.
Frank had a knack for making people laugh and was always the life of any party or function. His smile was contagious, and his memory will certainly live on in the hearts of those he leaves behind.
Frank is survived by his wife of 15 years, Vonnie; children Eddie of Seaford; Frank of New Orleans, LA; Billy of Seaford; Ryan of Cambridge; Brooke of Princess Anne, MD; grandchildren Marley and Lil Will; sisters Wendy Coates and Tammy Childs of Florida; a brother John Childs also of Florida; a special niece Dana Thrasher of Florida; and many, many special cousins and aunts and uncles. He was proceeded in death by his parents Frank Stewart, Sr.1d Dortha Childs.
A celebration of life for friends and family will be held on Saturday February 18th from 6-9 pm at Layton's Chance Vineyard and Winery in Vienna, MD. Everyone is encouraged to bring their favorite dish and story to share.
