Fred Teagle Jr.'s Obituary
On Friday, May 5, 2017 at 8:54 p.m., the Lord whispered “sweet peace” to our beloved Fred Teagle, Jr. and he entered into eternal rest. He departed this life at home in Harrisburg, NC surrounded by family. He was 92 years old.
Fred Teagle, Jr. was born in Modest Town, Virginia on October 30, 1924 to the late Fred Teagle, Sr. and Adeline Custis-Teagle. He attended public school in Accomack County, VA. He was preceded in death by his wife, Dorothy Anne Teagle, brothers, Dorsey Teagle of Philadelphia, PA; William “Bill” Teagle of Modest Town, VA; sister Corrine Davis of Preston, MD; and a beloved nephew Bernard “Bunny” Teagle of Hurlock, MD.
Fred was employed for many years at Allen’s Family Foods in Cordova, MD until he retired. He had a passion for horse racing and would sometimes go to Harrington, DE to watch them race with his daughter Bronta or “Bernadine” as he would often call her. He loved hunting, fishing and spending time with his family. Fred was a hard worker and unselfish provider for his family. He would often times make many sacrifices for the well-being of his family always ensuring that they never lacked for anything.
He leaves to mourn his passing: three sons, Ronald Wesley Adams (Brenda) of DeSoto, TX; Ricky Darnell Teagle, Sr. (Liza) of Columbia, MD; Joseph Lamont Teagle, Sr. (Angela) of Harrisburg, NC; daughter, Bronta Laverne Fletcher (Randy) of Mardela Springs, MD; nine grandchildren, Reagan Elizabeth Wade of DeSoto, TX; Latasha Antoinette Teagle of Hurlock, MD; Joseph Lamont Teagle, Jr. of Harrisburg, NC; Ricky Darnell Teagle, Jr. of Cambridge, MD; Miles Eric Teagle of Georgetown, DE; Erica Brittany Teagle of Albuquerque, New Mexico; Jalen Jermaine Teagle of Hurlock, MD; Joshua Aaron Teagle of Harrisburg, NC; Sarah Nicole Teagle of Columbia, MD; and three great grandchildren Mariah A’leah Wade of DeSoto, TX; David Landon Johnson of Hurlock, MD; and Autumn Kelis Johnson of Hurlock, MD; a special nephew and niece, Norman “Boo” Davis and Laura Mae Davis-Stern; a special friend and co-worker Larry Bordley and a host of nieces, nephews, relatives and friends.
