Frederick P. Gadow's Obituary
Frederick Paul Gadow of Preston, MD passed away on Sunday, Sept. 30, 2007 at Dorchester General Hospital in Cambridge, MD. He was 85.
He was born May 18, 1922 in Preston, the son of the late Wilhelm and Hannah Nagel Gadow.
He was a graduate of Preston High School class of 1939. He was a lifetime farmer and businessman who owned and operated independently Gadow’s Turkey Farm with his wife and his son for 38 years. He was a member of Preston Lions Club, and was a lifetime member of Immanuel Lutheran Church in Preston. He loved farming and the outdoor life.
He is survived by his wife of almost 60 years, Clara E. McCollister Gadow, whom he married on Dec. 27, 1947, a son, David P. Gadow of Preston, a sister, Agnes Nero of Greenwood, DE, several nieces, nephews and cousins. He was preceded in death by 3 brothers and a sister, Alvin Gadow, Bernhardt Gadow, Robert Gadow and Pauline Harding.
Funeral services will be held on Thursday, Oct. 4, 2007 at 2:00 p.m. at the Immanuel Lutheran Church in Preston with Rev. Edwin Thress officiating. Interment will follow in
Hillcrest Cemetery in Federalsburg. Friends may call at the church from 1:00 -2:00 p.m.
