Gail A. Thomas' Obituary
Gail Ann Jenkins Thomas got her wings on June 16, 2015 at the Easton Memorial Hospital. She was 64. She was born in Dorchester County, and was the daughter of Charles and Violeece Jones and the late Edward Corsey (Step-mother Ivory Corsey).
Gail was educated in the Caroline County school system, and graduated from Colonel Richardson in 1969. She spent her adult life taking care of her family and others. Her family meant the world to her.
Gail attended church at a early age at John’s Church under the leadership of the late Frank Robinson. With the merger of Mt. Calvary, she continued her membership and became an usher, and developed a love for children and working with youth of the church and community.
Gail leaves to cherish her memories her daughter, Lakisha Thomas; grandsons Tramaine and Jermaine Thomas & Erik Dorman; granddaughter, Aaliyah Williams, all of Cambridge, MD and 9 great-grandchildren. Her parents, Charles & Violeece Jones of Hurlock, MD and Ivory Corsey of Preston, MD; sisters Marva Jenkins of Cambridge, MD Joana (Cedric) Pinckens of Virginia Beach, VA, Dazaree Shabazz of Hurlock; brothers Gregory (Carmelita) Jenkins of Baltimore, MD, Edward G. (Roseta) Corsey of Hurlock, MD Charles R. (Laretta) Corsey of Seaford, Garry L. Corsey of Wilmington, Wndell A (Demita) Corsey of Hurlock, MD; aunts Delores Jenkins of Federalsburg, MD Ann Roberts of Cambridge, Dorothy Jackson of Vienna, MD Lula (Hamilton) Parrin of Prince Fredrick, MD, Frances (Thomas) Corsey of Preston; uncles Dennis Jenkins, Jerome Jenkins of Harrisburg, PA, Orville Jones of Cambridge, MD and a host of nieces, nephews, and cousins, a very special cousin, Jeanette Roberts.
Gail is preceded in death by a son Michael Quailes, sisters, Elaine Jenkins, Angela Jenkins, and Diana (Vicky) Brown, brothers, Tyrone Jones and David Jones.
Services will be held Friday, June 26, 2015 at 12 p.m. at Mt. Calvary U.M.C. in Preston with a visitation from 11-12:00. Burial will follow at Johns Cemetery, Preston, MD.
