Gary Wayne Miller's Obituary
Gary Wayne Miller of Hurlock, MD passed away on Sat. Sept. 29, 2007 at Nanticoke Memorial Hospital in Seaford, DE surrounded by his loving family. He was 58 years old.
He was born April 17, 1949 in Baltimore, MD, the son of the late Doyle Linwood Miller and Marie Pauline Starner Miller.
He was employed as a counselor for Chesapeake Youth Center in Cambridge and was a self-employed carpenter. He served his country in the U.S. Army, serving three terms in VietNam. He was a member of the Federalsburg VFW Post 5246, a member of the Hurlock American Legion, and a member of the A.M. Veterans. He loved fishing, tinkering, camping and spending time with his family.
He is survived by his wife, Joanie “Bug” Mansfield Miller, two daughters, Shannon Miller of Hurlock and Tracy Cloude of Port Deposit, MD, a son, Aaron Miller, Sr. of Seaford, DE, a brother Charles E. Comer (Carol) of Fairfield, PA, two sisters, Glenda A. Coppage (Allen) of Hurlock, and Iris B. Rieck (Harry, Jr.) of Preston, MD; eight grandchildren, 1 great-grandchild, several nieces and nephews , mother-in-law, Janet Wheeler (Marvin) of Pasadena, MD, special friends, Donnie & Nanci Coale, Dawn Wilson, Alec Nichols, and Wayne Riddlemoser, extended family, Betty Richards, David “Toby” & Mickey Mansfield, Julia & David Burns, Allen and Jennifer Mansfield, Patti and Rick Stadden, George “Buck” & Sally Mansfield, and Clara Mansfield.
Funeral services will be held on Thursday, Oct. 4, 2007 at 12:00 Noon at the Framptom Funeral Home in Federalsburg with Rev. Howard “Buddy” Dunn officiating. Interment will follow with military honors at the Eastern Shore Veterans Cemetery in Hurlock. Friends may call at the funeral home on Wednesday from 6:00 to 8:00 p.m. A VFW service will be held just prior to the service on Thursday.
