Geneva Waldis' Obituary
Geneva L. Waldis of Federalsburg passed away on Friday, February 16, 2007 at Memorial Hospital in Easton. She was 90.
She was born September 30, 1916 at Concord, Maryland, daughter of the late Walter and Edith Lord. She was preceded in death by her husband, Russell Joseph Waldis on May 1, 1999.
She graduated from Denton High School. She retired from Maryland National Bank after 20 years of service. She was a member of Chestnut Grove United Methodist Church in Federalsburg, She enjoyed all of God’s nature, including her flowers and birds.
She is survived by her son, R. Jack Waldis and his wife, Delores of Federalsburg, two grandchildren, Lisa Dew of Easton, Debra Worm and her husband, Robert, Preston, five great grandchildren, Brandon Dew of Savannah, GA, Jaclyn Dew of Easton, Lindsey, Nikki, and Katie Worm all of Preston, and several nieces and nephews. She was preceded in death by three sisters, Margaret Redden, Cornelia Carroll, Edna Trice, and a brother, Elwood Lord.
Funeral services will be held on Thursday, February 22, 2007 at 2 p.m. at Framptom Funeral Home in Federalsburg with Rev. Dale Evans officiating. Interment will follow at Concord Cemetery in Federalsburg. Friends may call at the funeral home on Thursday from 1-2 p.m.
