Genevieve Goodger's Obituary
Genevieve R. Goodger passed away peacefully at her home in Federalsburg on Tuesday, Sept. 30, 2014. She was 94.
Born in Patchogue, NY on June 24, 1920 she was the daughter of the late Michael Rocco and Margaret Parrett Rocco. She married her husband, Ernest Arthur Goodger on February 22, 1941. She was a loving mother and homemaker who really enjoyed cooking Italian Food and desserts. She especially enjoyed her grandchildren, family gatherings and holidays. Genevieve also had a passion for crocheting, and collecting dolls and antiques. She is survived by five grandchildren, Johanna Parades and her husband John, of Seaford, DE, Michelle Moore of Easton, MD, Brandon Kolb and his wife Alfie, of St. Petersburg, FL, Timothy E. Goodger, II and his wife Heather, of Federalsburg, MD, and Logan Goodger of Federalsburg, MD; 14 great-grandchildren, 3 great-great-grandchildren, a brother, Michael Rocco of Patchogue, NY and several nieces. She was preceded in death by her husband, Ernest A. Goodger in 1993, her son, Timothy E. Goodger in 2012, and 3 siblings, James Rocco, Rose Palmer and Francis Palmer. A celebration of her life will be held at the Robertaccio Funeral Home on Sunday October 5, 2014, from 2:00 p.m. to 4:00p.m., with Father Robert Walker officiating. Funeral services will be held Monday October, 6, 2014 at 9:00 a.m. followed by her internment at 10:00 a.m., at Cedar Grove Cemetery.
