George Campbell's Obituary
George Campbell of Seaford, DE passed away on Sunday, March 29, 2015 at his home. He was 92.
Born in Jamaica on June 24, 1922 he was the son of the late Ira and Iris Mortimer Campbell. He was also preceded in death by his wife Ada Brown Campbell.
He retired from the Seaford Board of Education after 20 years of service as a custodian at the Seaford High School. In earlier years he had worked for the former Caroline Poultry Co. for 18 years and also was employed by the former John L. Wright Cannery. He enjoyed carpentry, plumbing, and helping people. He was a member of the Church of God.
He is survived by a daughter Gene Tolminson, two grandsons Nicholas and Peter, all of St. Ann, Jamaica, a sister Celeste Downer of Birmingham, England, niece, Marlene Mann of Seaford, DE, two nephews Rodney Brown of Boston, MA and Wayne Barnette of Birmingham, England.
Funeral services will be held on Sat. April 4, 2015 at 12:00 p.m. at the Refuge Temple Revival Center in Seaford with Rev. Ethel Williams officiating. Interment will follow in Macedonia Cemetery in Seaford. Friends may call at the church one hour prior to the service. Arrangements entrusted to Framptom Funeral Home, Federalsburg, MD.
