George Earl Schreckengast's Obituary
George Earl Schreckengast passed away on Monday, July 10, 2017 at John’s Hopkins Hospital in Baltimore. He was 55.
He was born on November 1, 1961 in Troy, MO, the son of the late Harry L. Schreckengast and Violet P. Shelton.
He graduated with a Bachelor’s Degree from the University of Missouri at Columbia in 1984, and later graduated from West Virginia University with a Master’s Degree in 1988. He married Susan Scrimshaw on October 4, 2004.
He worked at Wildlife International for 30 years, where he was a very dedicated I.I.T. Specialist. When he wasn’t working, George enjoyed flying his model airplanes, deer hunting, fishing, wood working, vegetable gardening, cooking, and riding his Harley. Most of all he enjoyed spending time with his friends and family.
He is survived by his wife, Susan Schreckengast, three children, Aaron Schreckengast, Jared Schreckengast, and Ian Borgeson, three brothers, James and his wife Betty Schreckengast, Rick and his wife Tammy Schreckengast, and Harry and his wife Carol Schreckengast, and two sisters, Jackie Montgomery and Lisa O’Donnell and her fiance Scott Shepard and several nieces and nephews, whom will all miss him dearly.
Funeral services will be held on Friday, July 14 at 12:00pm at the Framptom Funeral Home, Federalsburg, MD. Interment will follow at Woodlawn Memorial Park in Easton. The family will receive friends from 11:00 to 12:00 at the funeral home.
