George W. Starr's Obituary
George W. Starr of Federalsburg, MD passed away on Sat. Oct. 5, 2013 at Nanticoke Memorial Hospital in Seaford, DE. He was 86 years old.
He was born Dec. 30, 1926 in Miami, FL, the son of the late George H. and Ethel Muhlbaier Starr.
He served his country in the U.S. Navy receiving the World War II Victory Medal. He worked as Delmonte Warehouse Supervisor in Swedesboro, NJ, and retired from Williamsburg Canning Co. in Hurlock after 17 years of service. He attended the Seventh Day Adventist Church in Cambridge.
He is survived by his wife, Catherine England Starr, a son Charles F. Nipe of Hedgesville, W VA, a daughter Catherine E. Starr Mullikin of Cordova, MD, 4 grandchildren, Cassandra Nipe and Cullen Nipe of Hedgesville, W VA, J.L. Mullikin, Jr. and John A. Mullikin of Cordova, a sister Elaine Lilly of Almonnesson, NJ and a brother Lewis C. Starr of St. Petersburg, FL, and several nieces and nephews.
Funeral services will be held on Thursday, Oct. 10, 2013 at 12:30 p.m. at the Seventh Day Adventist Church in Cambridge with Pastor Cesar Gonzalez officiating. Friends may call at the church from 11:30 to 12:30 p.m. Interment with military honors will follow at the Eastern Shore Veterans Cemetery in Hurlock.
