George A. Ball's Obituary
George Albert Ball of Federalsburg, MD passed away with his family at his side on Sunday, July 24, 2011 at Christiana Medical Center. He was 62.
He was born February 21, 1949 in Premier, WV, the son of the late
Bernard Ball and Mary Ellen Vance Ball.
He had worked for over fifteen years at Salisbury Brothers in Ridgely, MD. For the past ten years he worked at Walmart in Easton. George loved to go fishing, listening to 60’s music and his favorite channel was 107.1 The Duck. Now George is united in heaven with Elvis.
He is survived by his wife of twenty-three years, Vera Schutschkow Ball whom he married, July 3, 1988, a sister, Gracie Lee Hutson and her husband, Marion Joseph Hutson of Federalsburg, a half-sister, Reva Thacker of Denton, two nieces, Ellen Jane Hutson of Federalsburg, and April Marie Ball Moore of Virginia, a sister-in-law, Jeane Ball of Virginia, and other family members living in Ohio, South Carolina, and Virginia, and his beloved dog, Bear. He was preceded in death by his two brothers, Lee Ball and Dallas Ray.
Funeral services will be held on Friday, July 29, 2011 at 11:00 a.m. at Framptom Funeral Home in Federalsburg with Rev. Denzil Cheek officiating. Interment will follow at Spring Hill Memorial Gardens in Hebron. Friends may call at the funeral home on Thursday evening from 6-8 p.m.
