Georgia Ann Willin's Obituary
Georgia Ann Willin of Federalsburg, passed away on Monday, March 7, 2011 at her home. She was 85.
She was born on March 1, 1926 in Bridgeville, DE daughter of the late Robert Cannon and Cora Mae Scott Cannon.
She worked had worked for Jerome Taylor and for Excelsior Pearl Works. She retired from Perdue in the 1980’s as a vaccinator at the Hatchery. She enjoyed gardening, antiquing, and traveling to Pennsylvania and Canada, blue grass music, going to Curtis Andrews Auction Barn on Thursday night, and spending time with family and friends.
Georgia Ann is survived by her loving husband Melvin E. Willin, three children, Marylou Moore of Denton, Paul Jester and his wife Peggy, of Smithville, Betty Robertson and her husband, James of Delmar, DE, eight grandchildren, fifteen great-grandchildren, six great-great grandchildren, two sisters, Elsie Harold of Seaford, Margaret Billings of Blades and several nieces and nephews, her vacationing buddies, Leroy and Libby Wilson of American Corner, and many other special friends. She was preceded in death by a grandson, James “Spot” Moore and a brother, Robert Cannon.
Funeral services will be held on Wednesday, March 9, 2011 at 1p.m. at Framptom Funeral Home in Federalsburg with Rev. Denzil Cheek officiating. Interment will follow at Hill Crest Cemetery. Friends may call at the funeral home on Tuesday evening from 7-9 p.m. and one hour prior to the service on Wednesday.
