Geraldine Simmons Mosley's Obituary
Geraldine S. Mosley, of Ellendale, DE passed away at the age of 73 on Thursday, April 19, 2018. She was born May 5, 1944 in Jasper, Florida. Her spiritual walk began at an early age as she accepted Jesus Christ as her Lord and Savior. For the past 41 years she has served as the Mother of the Church under the leadership of her husband, Bishop John W. Mosley at Mission Hill Apostolic Church of Jesus in Hurlock MD.
She had a gift of touching people lives and changing it for the better through compassion, love and services. So, it was only natural she would work in a community base support program. Through First State Community Action, Georgetown, DE, she was a Receptionist and a Community Support Specialist for Delmarva Clergy and Social Action (DCUSA) for the past 5 years.
She was married to Bishop John W. Mosley for 58 years where they resided in Ellendale, DE. for the past 48 years. They shared 58 years together knowing it was ordained by God and only death or the coming of the Lord would separate them. Along with her husband she is survived by 13 Children, 51 Grandchildren, 46 great grandchildren, one great great grandchild, seven sisters, and five brothers.
Public viewing and Funeral Services will be held on Saturday, April 28, 2018 at Philadelphia Pentecostal Holiness Church, 13724 South Old State Rd. Ellendale, DE 19941. The viewing will be from 10:00 am – 12:00 pm and the Funeral Service will start immediately after. Funeral Arrangements are by Framptom Funeral Home, 216 North Main St. Federalsburg, MD 21632.
