Gladys Mapp Cephas' Obituary
Gladys Mapp Cephas of Federalsburg, MD passed away Tuesday, March 10, 2015 at Caroline Nursing & Rehab Center in Denton, MD. She was 87.
She was born October 27, 1927 in Painter, VA, the daughter of the late Thomas Mapp and Charlotte Mapp Dickerson.
She was a member of Park Lane Church of God in Federalsburg where she taught Sunday School.
She is survived by her husband of 62 years, Leroy D. Cephas, two children Clinton L. Cephas and his wife Kim of Wilmington, DE and Tommy D. Cephas and his wife Paula of Bridgeville, DE, four grandchildren Clinton, Jr., Whitney, Tommy, Jr., and Tierra, five great-grandchildren. In addition to her parents she was preceded in death by six siblings.
Funeral services will be held on Saturday, March 21, 2015 at 12:00 p.m. at the Park Lane Church of God, 209 Park Lane, Federalsburg, with Bishop Ray Parsons officiating. Friends may call at the church from 10:00 to 12:00 p.m. prior to the service. Interment will be held Monday, March 23, 2015 at 11:00 a.m. at the Eastern Shore Veterans Cemetery in Hurlock, MD.
