Gladys Mildred Young's Obituary
Gladys Mildred Young of Preston passed away on Tuesday, October 31, 2017 at Genesis-The Pines in Easton. She was 82.
She was born in Baltimore, MD, on October 30, 1935, the daughter of the late Tobias Detzel and Gladys Weber Detzel. She was also preceded in death by her husband, Thomas Eugene Young on February 12, 2015.
Gladys was a member of the Easton VFW Ladies Auxillary, the Easton Moose Lodge, and the Disabled American Veterans and P.O.W. Organizations.
She is survived by a brother, Gilbert Detzel of Easton and several nieces and nephews. She was also preceded in death by six siblings, Tobias Detzel, Leonard Detzel, Clarence Detzel, Willard Detzel, Blanche Bramble, and Margie Bramble.
Funeral services will be held on Friday, November 3, 2017 at 11 a.m. at the Framptom Funeral Home in Federalsburg with Rev. Howard Dunn officiating. Interment will follow at the Maryland Eastern Shore Veterans Cemetery. A visitiation with the family will be held from 10:30-11:00 a.m.
