Gladys Christopher Larmore's Obituary
Gladys Christopher Larmore of Easton, MD passed away on Tuesday, April 27, 2010 at Genesis HealthCare-The Pines in Easton. She was 102 years old.
She was born July 6, 1907 near Dover Bridge in Caroline County, MD, the daughter of the late William R. and Suda Hopkins Christopher. Her husband Elwood “Skip” Larmore preceded her in death.
Her grandfather, Isaiah Christopher, was the first operator of the original Dover Draw Bridge, and for 150 years the Christopher Family operated this bridge with four generations who served. She enjoyed fishing and crabbing. She was a seamstress for Yale Sportswear.
She is survived by two brothers Lloyd R. Christopher of Easton and Avery B. Christopher of Columbia, MD and many nieces and nephews. She was preceded in death by six siblings, Neva Moore, Lilly Baynard, Tommy Christopher, Gilbert Christopher, Earl Christopher and Margaret Pizzi.
Funeral services will be held on Friday, April 30, 2010 at 11:00 a.m. at the Framptom Funeral Home in Federalsburg with Rev. Glenn Staehli officiating. Interment will follow in Spring Hill Cemetery in Easton. Friends may call at the funeral home on Thursday from 6:00 to 8:00 p.m. and on Friday from 10:00 to 11:00 a.m.
