Gloria Jean Watts' Obituary
Gloria Jean Campbell Watts, age 83, died peacefully at SECU Hospice House in Smithfield, NC, surrounded by her family. She was born in Derry Township, PA, on September 3, 1940, to her loving parents, the late Richard Francis Campbell Sr. and Barbara Jane Carr.
She married Paul Densmore Watts in St. Michaels, MD, on August 22, 1958. They were married for 53 years and had 6 children.
She is survived by her daughter, Lori Whitehead, of St. Michaels, MD; son, Richard Watts, of Clayton, NC; and daughter, Beth Emerson, of Clayton, NC; along with 15 grandchildren and many great-grandchildren, nieces and nephews.
She was preceded in death by her husband, Paul Densmore Watts, Sr.; and her sons: Paul Densmore Watts, Jr., David Edward Watts, Matthew Richard Watts; and 2 sisters and 4 brothers.
Gloria was a professional seamstress at Higgins and Spencer Furniture Store in St. Michaels, MD, for over 18 years.
Gloria enjoyed reading, doing jigsaw puzzles, and watching Jeopardy. She was a loving mother and grandmother, and nothing made her happier than being around her family. She will be sorely missed by all.
In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to the Talbot County Humane Society in her name.
A viewing, service, and burial will be held Saturday, Feb. 10, at Framptom Funeral Home in St. Michaels, MD. The viewing will be at 1:00 and the service will be at 2:00. For further information, go to the Framptom Funeral Home website.
