Grady Howard Watkins' Obituary
Grady Howard Watkins of Federalsburg, Maryland passed away on Wednesday, January 1, 2014 in Hurlock, Maryland after a brief illness. He was 56.
He was born on July 9, 1957 in Seaford, DE, the son of the late Howard Thomas Watkins and Betty Rose Patrick Watkins.
He graduated from North Dorchester High School with the class of 1975. He worked in Naples, Florida as a property maintenance manager and after returning to the area he worked as an electrician for many years. He was a member of the Hurlock American Legion Post #243, a member of the Sons of the American Legion, Federalsburg VFW Post #5246, and the Redmen’s Lodge in Fruitland and was an avid pool player.
He is survived by one brother, Thomas R. Watkins of Hawaii, one sister, Jackie Todd of Preston, two special cousins, Lori W. Smith and Susan R. Smith both of Hurlock, and a host of aunts, uncles, cousins and friends.
A memorial service will be held on Sunday, January 5, 2013 at 2:00 at the Framptom Funeral Home in Federalsburg with the VFW Chaplain Ronnie James Officiating. The family will receive friends from 1-2p.m. Private burial will be in McKendree cemetery near Rhodesdale at the convenience of the family.
