Gregory A. Morris' Obituary
Gregory Morris of Cordova, passed away suddenly on Tuesday, April 4, 2017 at UMSMC at Easton. He was 58.
He was born on July 10, 1958 in Easton and was a son of Frances Morris and the late Albert Morris Sr. In 1978, he married his high school sweetheart, the former Shirley Allen, and they shared 38 years of marriage.
Gregory graduated from Easton High School. He was employed as a parts associate for Rathell Farm Equipment and Meredith Chem Farm Sales. He enjoyed farming as well as going to tractor pulls and car shows. He was an avid sports fan and loved NASCAR, the Washington Nationals, and the New England Patriots. He was best known as a Ford Motor Company Man. Most of all, he was a devoted husband, father, grandfather, son, bother, and friend.
He leaves to cherish his wife Shirley Allen Morris of Cordova, a daughter Christine Morris of Centreville, a granddaughter who was the joy of his life and his "Buttercup", Aaliyah Morris of Centreville, his mother Frances Morris of Cordova, two brothers Rick Morris of Cordova and Jeff Morris and his wife Kerrie of Easton, a sister-in-law Donna Baynard and her husband Jeff of Cordova and a brother-in-law Orville Allen, Jr. and his wife Becky of Easton, as well as several nieces, nephews, and special friends.
Besides his father, he is preceded in death by a daughter Cynthia Lynne Morris, who passed away on January 7, 2017.
Funeral Services will be held on Monday, April 10, 2017 at 2 p.m. at the First Wesleyan Church in Easton with Reverend Nevin Crouse officiating. Interment will follow at Woodlawn Memorial Park. Family will receive friends two hours prior to the service at the church.
