Gretchen Elizabeth Schmidt's Obituary
Gretchen Elizabeth Schmidt, beloved wife, mother, and nana died Monday 2/21 at UM Shore Medical Center in Easton, Md. She was 73. Born in Philadelphia to William Anthony Gonda, she dedicated her life to taking care of others. She was a wonderful homemaker and mother and the best nana 3 grandkids could ever ask for.
She enjoyed her careers of providing childcare for local children and managing the Calico Galery in St. Michaels, MD.
Gretchen is survived by her loving husband of 54 years, Dale, her 2 children Nicole (Douglas) and Jason (Kellee) and her 3 grandchildren Becca, Caleb, and Emily. She is also survived by her loving brother Bill Gonda (Linda) of Utah, stepsister Valerie (Frank) and stepmother Monty Drew Gonda of West Chester, Pennsylvania. She was preceded in death by her father William Anthony Gonda.
Services will be private. Memorial donations can be made to the St Michaels Fire Department or the IPF Foundation.
